Privacy Policy – A Pinch of Simo

Updated: 19 September 2026

A Pinch of Simo is a free interactive recipe book with adjustable servings, favourites, shopping lists and My Fridge. The current app does not require an account or offer community posting, subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Recipe book
Your favourites, serving selections and shopping-list state are saved locally on your device. These features do not upload those selections to our server.

My Fridge
When you use My Fridge, the ingredients and cooking preferences you enter are sent to our backend and through Emergent’s AI service to Anthropic’s Claude to generate a recipe. The request does not include an app account identifier. Please do not enter personal or sensitive information. Generated recipes are stored on our server.

Support and earlier versions
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information in your message to respond to you. Removing accounts and community features from the current app does not automatically delete records from earlier versions. You can contact us about those records or request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.
